Can a speaker just stop working? I've connected it to serveral working radios and get no sound, nothing. I thought I would at least get a hiss. It is a 10 sub. thx, haveone

Sometimes that happens, take a look at the bottom of the sub where the magnet is ...there should be two thin metal string looking things connected from the back of your terminals to the cone, are they still connected? If not you can solder them back to the terminals, if they are still connected put a bit of speaker wire on each termanal (+ & -) then touch them at the same time to a 9v battary (one wire on each terminal of that battary) see if the speaker makes a popping noise. If it does, well...I have no idea why you arn't getting anything out of it (not enough juice from the amps your hooking it up too??..maybe) , if it doesn't then the speaker's a defect...
Hope this helps...
