Has anyone resolved their surging issue?

I have read many posts on this but can't seem to find out if anyone has fixed their problem. I have this problem and I am going to remove the IAC and clean it and then the TPS. I've done many other things to my 3.1 also to get it back in running condition. Fuel pump and filter replacement, timing chain and gears, plugs, wires, oil and filter change, air filter changed and other miscellaneous things too.
My vehicle only does this at idling speed and when coming to a slow stop. If I barely use the gas it goes away. Thanks for any advice.

Re: Has anyone resolved their surging issue?

Seems as if the majority of the people are looking for the quick fix, however there is no magic here. From what I have read seen and excercised, the most common things that cure these conditions are:

Vacuum leaks
Throttle body clean
Idle air control valve clean and or replace
Egr valve clean

And when all else fails, fuel pressure....either bad pump or regulator.

Testing with pressure gauge and retrieving codes is the best start place.

Re: Has anyone resolved their surging issue?

Today I changed the oxygen sensor and the car still runs the same way as before. Nearly stalling and and idling as low as 500rpm to about 1500rpm. I haven't cleared the code from the computer yet but will tonight to see if that problem is fixed.
I had already did a fuel preesure test and found that the fuel pump was about to go out so I replaced that.
I had sprayed o2 safe cleaning agent in the intake to clean the iac and the tps. No change in running issue though.
I haven't checked the egr because it is the eletronic variety but will probably remove and clean it.
There is a vacuum line that come from the passenger front side of the car and runs under the intake plenum by the fuel rails. Is there a way to test that line and where does it plug in to?

Re: Has anyone resolved their surging issue?

I forgot to add that I can't hear any vacuum leaks but possibly the one that runs under the plenum.
