87 Van Dies when hot

Greetings. I have an 87 E150 Van with a 5.0L engine EFI. Dual tanks with 2 fuel pumps. One in one out. My problem is this. When I`m on the freeway and the engine gets hot, the van dies. If I let it sit for awhile and cool off it runs fine. (That is until the engine gets hot again.)It seems like it`s running out of gas but both tanks are full and I can hear the fuel pump chugging away. I`ve had the van for about a year and even drove it to the east coast last summer without a problem.( From New Mexico to Georgia.) It seems to be getting worse. Any ideas? Ignition module maybe? How do I check? Thanks for any and all help. Mike

Re: 87 Van Dies when hot

It could be the igniton module when it gets hot. Take it to Autozone and they will check it for free. Also, they can check your alternator, starter and battery. They will charge batteries for free. One question? Does the temperature gauge peg before it quits?
