they are very good daily drivers, just don't expect them to be the quickest off the line or to get good gas milage. Most people including myself get about 200 miles out of the tank in city driving, highway driving i can push 300 miles. as far as maintenance goes, change the oil every 3k miles, check the oil level every 1500 miles because the engine does consume oil and you might need to add about 1/2 a quart every 1500 miles like i do and most people. When you get new tires don't get the stock tires, they are too over priced. Any other questions send me a PM and I will help you best as possible.

Re: so how do they hold up onder daily driving
They do hold up fine with daily driving. I put over 10k miles on my car per year and its fine. The only problem I had was a loose heatshield and exhaust pipe which I had the dealer take care of (they weren't the brightest people around and it took them 2 tries to fix it, but that varies from area to area).
What about the oil change? Should it be changed at 3k miles? I just stick with the manual and go with the every 6 months/7,500 miles. I don't really know about this. My philosophy has always been, when in doubt read the book |

Every 3k miles it should be changed because the last thing you want is a gunked up rotary. Also make sure to check your oil lvl every other fill up to see where it's at since our cars eat oil.
