97 Sonoma Clutch Replacement

I have a 97 GMC Sonoma VIN #1GTCS1940V8506102 with 360K miles, 2.2L manual transmission that needs a new clutch. It just barely grabs to move the vehicle now. Does this have the Borg-Warner T5 or the NV1500 tranny? Also, I am trying to remove the shift lever boot to gain access to the 4 bolts holding the shift lever housing to the transmission. I think I will cut the carpet under the floor console to allow access for the removal of the boot. Does anyone know how the console is removed? I do not see any obvious places where it is mounted. Do I need to remove the cup holders? When I drop the tranny, do I need a transmission jack to lower it, or will any floor jack with wheels do? Thanks
