sts check it out
maybe you all have heard of it before ... http://ststurbo.com/ ... sounds like it would work but not usefull to the 300zx since we can have the tt engine, but for cars that dont have very many modification options but want the power ... also the rear mounted turbo wouldnt be as effecient but would be more reliable, what do you all think ? is it just a lie ?

This type setup has been around along time, and it does work, and if done right, it's great.

Not only do they work, but I know the guy that owns the company and he's a great guy. There in Orem, Utah.

Would you guys like to read a eMail from Rick Squires (owner) of STS interest in getting involved in our Salt Flat quest.
I'd like to add here, you guys know this is my last year racing, and I think I've found a replacement to take over our Z program. Now any of you thinking of wanting to get into Pro drag racing my nephew has a 90 Olds Cutlass for sale. He won't be needing it. |

Re: sts check it out
yea zedex i remember you talking about it and thats partly why i posted this, i knew that this kind of setup was possible but wondered if this company did it right or was just lying ... my friend with the CL cant get much power without this, its a good upgrade and makes it easy to install compared to someone doing it totally on their own... hey Zgringo you're still going to be driving a Z even after this year right

Re: sts check it out
uh yeah back on topic... i wonder how they select the size of the turbo.... i wouldn't mind getting a little fwd car that gets good gas mileage (not a civic) and put a little turbo on there and run a little bit of boost through it just for the hell of it i need something that's a little easier on gas right now than my z31... it just eats it up!!

Re: sts check it out
that's the thing tho... it just doesn't have enough power for the amount of gas it uses... i'm sure if i got a z31t in good condition, it'd get better gas mileage than this one... i really don't know why it's getting such bad mileage. right now i'm maybe thinking of selling it and getting another (dare i say it) integra.. if i can find the right one for me... (gen 2 5spd 2 door) and fiddle around with that until i have some bank built up, or another nice z31t or cheap z32 comes along... if nothing comes up in a while i'll probably have enough cash saved to get a nice z32tt.
don't worry, i will allways be true to the z... i'm just in a position right now that i can't afford to be putting 150 bucks of gas into a car every month... plus my insurance just got hopped up to a whopping 2600 for the year because of my incident in my first teg...
