driveshaft removal
i need to change the u joints on my 1995 aerostar but the bolts in the rearend arn't like anything i've seen before. what tool do i use to remove the bolts?

Is this what you are talking about?...
http://neptune.spacebears.com/images...s/scdrb400.jpg A 12mm 12-point socket/wrench (sorry, don't remember the actual size of socket/wrench) is probably what you need to remove the 4 bolts. You will also need a breaker bar because Ford puts threadlock on the bolts. Don't forget to add threadlock before reinstalling the bolts. foodstamp |
