Replaced engine and Tran Leaks HELP ?????
I have just replaced engine in my 96 and the transmission is gushing fluid out of the bellhousing....
Does anyone have any idea what I did wrong?!?!?!? OK, I think I know what I did/didn't do. but is it possible to unbolt the drive plate from the torque converter and turn the drive plate until the torque converter goes back into place. Man I don't want to take that engine out again. This is the second rebuilt I've had. The first one lasted 2 weeks and threw a rod! HELP, PLEASE Last edited by dshepherd; 01-14-2004 at 05:19 PM. |

I feel your pain but you might just have to bite the bullet.
Can you take the tranny out instead? |

Re: Replaced engine and Tran Leaks!!!
yes, I can only drop tranny.
I was hoping beyond hope for an alternative. I've already dropped the engine/tranaxle/X-brace twice. First time with no problems except that the reman'd engine was no good. |
