Sienna Steering wheel effort difficult, hard to steer, binds. FIXED!
Just sharing a repair that I made on a 2006 Sienna. The power steering would bind, require excessive effort. BEFORE you change the power steering pump, or the rack, check the u joint in the steering shaft right where it goes into the rack and pinion. This one looked fine, no severe rust, etc.. Sprayed it liberally with PB blaster and viola! Then lubed it spray white grease and it's fixed.
Hope this helps someone. |
