multiple carburetors
What's the point of having multiple carburetors in a car? I watched "Car S.O.S" TV show where they rebuilt a Lamborghini Espada with a V12 engine. The car has 6 two-barrel carburetors, each barrel feeding each cylinder. There were muscle cars with 2 4-barrel or 3 2-barrel carburetors.

Re: multiple carburetors
Multiple carburetors can be mounted on a single-engine, often with progressive linkages; two four-barrel carburetors (often referred to as "dual-quads") were frequently seen on high-performance American V8s, and multiple two barrel carburetors are often now seen on very high-performance engines.
