Pioneer Pioneer AVH-2300DVD with AVIC-U220 Navigation Bypass
Hi,
I just installed the deck with an auto bypass switch (the small 3 wire JS Audio AVP) and it works perfect. Problem I'm having is when I hook up the external navigation (AVIC-U220) the bypass stops working automatically. I really prefer not to install a manual switch if possible but I don't know how to get this wired up so the AVP does its job with the nav hooked up as well. Any ideas are much appreciated. Not sure what other info I can give you guys for some suggestions. The install is just a standard install on a Porsche 996 and my Pioneer deck has the yellow and red wire backward so I have red on constant and yellow on ignition. The other way around doesn't save settings and drains the battery.... The AVP is hooked up Blue to Blue on the deck (not connected to anything else), Green to Green on the deck (not connected to anything else) and Black to Ground. Cheers! If you had to wire it up backwards like that, I would say either the unit has issues or the harness is wired wrong.
