s-10 MISSING IN FOURTH AND FIFTH
I PUT A NEW CLUTCH IN ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO. THE TRUCK STILL WOULD NOT RUN RIGHT. DID A PRESSURE TEST ON THE FUEL SYSTEM TO FIND OUT THE FUEL PUMP WAS BAD. CHANGED IT. DRIVES OK IN FIRST THRU THIRD THEN BOGS OUT IN FOURTH AND FIFTH. I HAVE HAD THE TRUCK ALMOST TWO YEARS AND DROVE IT APPROX THIRTY FIVE MILES-AND THAT WAS LAST NIGHT WHEN I MOVED TO A NEW ADDRESS. I HATE BEING STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE. HELP!!!

Re: s-10 MISSING IN FOURTH AND FIFTH
OK, You'll need to take a look at your fuel pressure readings to ensure that they are in spec's. It shoould be reading 52 - 58 psi with the key on. Turn ket off and your pressure shouldn't drop more that 5 psi with in a 5 minute time frame. Post back what your findings.

Re: s-10 MISSING IN FOURTH AND FIFTH
Actually the book says 41 to 47 psi and shouldnt drop more than 5 psi with key on. And it is within specs.

OK, When was the last time you had a full tune up? Are there any error codes? Have you checked to see if you have any arking plug wires?
