Question Questions and more questions

I just started at the University of Arizona, and it became apparent to me that they want you to either buy a bicycle or motorcycle. with car parking permits upwards of $500 to over $1000 a year! I thought I could park outside of the UofA and just walk this worked good untill I got in an accednt :(. I have a really kick ass 91 corolla that is tuned to perfection. any ways I love my car to death, but I really want a motorcycle, ever since I seen the biker dudes doing wheelies and endos(sp?) in the middle of the street and the pigs not doing a damn thing and then when I do a burn out they bust me. I dont get a hard on or any thing but seeing all those guys on street bikes makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up, then I have to get into my cage and try to be free as them. Okay I am way off subject time to get down to it.
My father has been riding motorcycles since he was 10 or somthing like that and now he has a honda 1300 thing, I am not really into those kind of bikes I like street bikes I really want a CBR6004fi. He told me to look into atlest a 600cc because of my size I am 6'1" and 155lbs. I noticed insurance is alot at progressive like 3K, I cant afford that because of college and sh-stuff like that does any one have any advice, I dont want a brand new bike I would like a 99 or 00. I know yamaha is cheaper but I like hondas for some reason. how much are 1999 or 2000 CBR600's?? ooh I almost forgot I have never ridden a Motorcycle would a 600 be to much for me, I dont get any urges to drop a gear in my car and take off untill some dude thinks he has somthing when he really doesnt, or when some prick is ridding my ass in a expensive sports car, but Im not the type to drive like a prick for no reason lol

You are getting into motorcycle riding for all the wrong reasons, doing wheelies and stoppies do not make you cool, they make you stupid and sometimes dead (or at the very least damaged). You can ofcourse start out on a bike with more power then you should have like that one idiot, but any rider with an IQ over.... 60, will tell you to start out right, start out small. Plus it would be much easier for insurance.

Also do not go with progressive, they will rail you in the ass, if you have your car still, try state farm.

Okay I think I said something wrong I gave you the wrong Idea. I said It looked cool to do wheelies and stoppies not that I would do them. I just think they look cool, I would never do anything like that. I cant afford to change bikes every 6 months, I want some thing that I ride safely on, if I was in a shitty situation in traffic a 250 couldnt really get me out of it to fast. I live in the city and traffic can get crazy and it is nice even in a car to have some power to get way from that drunk kid who wants to play games. besides there are alot of pricks who talk alot of shit I dont want a "little kids bike" I will be the first to addmit I dont know shit about motorcycles. It isnt like Im going to jump on the bike I am planing on buying, there is this class and for only $150 they let you learn on a course with one of their bikes. I know Progressive, they blow dogs. What I am looking for is a bike that can get me to school and work safely and then on weekends I can chill with the other biker guys with out geting shit. any suggestions. please dont be rude, Im not.

its not easy starting from scratch... i would learn how to operate the clutch, throttle, brakes, learn how to take off and stop etc. on a small bike, like even a dirtbike if you have access to it, then its all up to you and what you think you can honestly handle...

got an idea

I plan on taking the cousres at the community college which is a week long and they train you on 250nighthawks (in part of the course they make you drive over a tellaphone pole!?!weird), then I will take the state driving course(which is two days long and they have some 250) and then take the test to get my driving licence. after all that insurance should be cheaper. and then I will buy a "learning" bike an older one so when I lay it down I wont cry to hard.lol. then after about a year if I dont die and am not to badly injured I will sell it and buy a CBR600F4i(my dream bike ) so what do you guys think???

If you need to learn these I recomend a friend with a quad. You can learn the basic operation without the balance part.
