Beep! Beep! Horn help!

My horn works on and off on my 95 cutlass supreme. Is there any danger to taking off the steering wheel cover to check the switches?
Will my air bag deploy?

Thanks!

Thanks Shekky.

I knew that I had to take out the fuse, but I wasn't sure if there was another backup fuse, or relay I had to disable too.

Re: Beep! Beep! Horn help!

Sometimes the fuses being removed isn't enough , sometimes theres an electrical relay running to the steering wheel. Simple - Remove positive cable connection from the battery terminal =D

Re: Beep! Beep! Horn help!

there is a back-up power supply for the airbags.
disconnecting the battery wont affect it.
you shouldnt have a problem anyways.

Re: Beep! Beep! Horn help!

The horn was fixed!
It ended up being a few blown power relays that were causing all my electrical problems!
