Honda Civic 2nd generation

I'm looking to start my collection by finding the cars I used to own...

My first car was a 1983 Honda Civic 2nd generation. I'm having a hard time finding any scale models; 1st gen comes up in a Google search, but 2nd and 3rd get skipped.

Any one got advice on where to look for a scale model 2nd gen Civic?

cheers

Re: Honda Civic 2nd generation

That's a 3rd generation Civic, not 2nd.

Nichimo made the second gen Civic, which you can see here: Scalemates entry for the Nichimo 2n Gen Civic.

It's a motorized kit, as is typical for the time period. The kit isn't great, but it's not that bad really, the proportions are good but the detailing is kind of heavy and the molding is a bit hamfisted. It's also motorized, so the interior and chassis aren't the greatest. I only got the kit recently, so I haven't built it or spent a lot of time with it. If you Google "Nichimo Civic," a good built up will be among the first image results.

It's not super easy to find, and harder to find at a good price. I finally got mine to finish out my collection of Civics of all generations - just in time for the FL5 to come out and I'm still waiting on that as a kit...

Re: Honda Civic 2nd generation

The Nichimo is one of two that I found

Another one here, made Inter Allied

Where should I look to purchase the Nichimo?

cheers

Re: Honda Civic 2nd generation

I had a saved search on eBay for years. They show up, but are expensive.

The InterAllied model is not a kit, and is 1:43. I assumed you were looking for 1:24.

Thanks. I'll take any scale since they are so rare.
