bring it to autozone, they will pull the trouble code for you, tell you what it means, and reset the light. However if the problem that caused the light to come on in the first place isn't fixed, the light will only come back. Otherwise take it for two "trips". get in, start it, drive it at highway speeds for a half hour, stop, shut it off, start it up, and take it that same half hour trip again. Then shut it off and start it up, and if there aren't anymore malfunctions, this will have reset the light. Good luck. Or you can do it the easy way. Disconnect the negative battery cable for a minute or so. Sometimes this does it.

You could try pulling out the fuse marked PCM in the fuse panel for a few seconds. This will be the same as pulling the battery cable.Or.... You can also buy a code reader for $120 and read the code yourself and then the code reader allows you to reset the light. The code readers come with an extensive manual to tell you what each code means. They are a worthwhile investment as they will be OBDII compatable (as are all cars after 95 or 96..I forget what year) and you can work on any car after 95 or 96 with the OBDII code readers.
