2008 F150 XLT 4x4 9 amp Parasitic Drain
2008 F150 XLT 4x4 9 amp Parasitic Drain
I have a drain that often jumps up between 8-10 amps. The wires on my meter will get very hot after a minute of using them between the negative post and negative wire. Warning: I don't know much of anything about electrical. If I pull the 30 amp fuse that controls the power door locks, the drain stops. I am getting ready to go out and disconnect the locks one by one but I kinda doubt that would cause such a problem. I assume there are other things on that circuit that are more likely the issue. Anyone have any experience with this or a diagram that says what else is on that circuit? |

Disconnecting all of the door switches did not resolve the issue.
