98 gc cutting out

MY gc started cutting out a few weeks ago while idling in gear. I changed out the four plugs I could get the wires off. It's a v6. It started running better for a couple of days. I need to know of any way to get the stuck boot off. I also have a feeling there is something else wrong. Anything else that might be causing it to cut out. It has progressed to cutting out while going down the highway. Please help

Kind of a hard job replacing the plugs. The parts stores sell plug wire pullers designed to help. Is the check engine light on? What did the old plugs look like? It could be several things, plug wires, sensors etc...If it set any codes that would help.

Causes are many. A good shot in the dark would be cam and crank sensors. They often cause stumbling and stalling without throwing a code. Check connections and wire harness. If all looks good try new sensors. Check fuel pressure with a pressure gauge available for a deposit at most parts stores.

The four plugs are clean but the gap was burned way past .050. The check engine light only comes on if it cuts our really bad. Then it will be gone the next time you start it.

You need to change out those other plugs. Then see if it still has the problems. Did you read the codes?
