Re: 00 fuel line and possible gas tank drop?
bolts are too rusted so I cant drop the tank cant use torch as gas is around
it leaks from one of the hoses up above the tank.... 2 lines I see at the fuel pump don't know where the third one went? but cant really reach that either ... any tricks probably taking the box off easier lol |

Re: 00 fuel line and possible gas tank drop?
is there a special tool to unhook the 2 fuel hoses those plastic connections I usually squeeze them on a GM car and I can pull off or use a screw driver to pry but since I cant get behind it.. and I really don't wanna drop the fuel tank just to hook on those 2 hoses and run new lines to the other quick connectors and then figure that 3rd hose
i wonder if people drunk when they build these as this is ridiculus spot put the fuel pump hoses on the back of the tank so nice and easy to access frig |

if you can't soak the tank bolts and get them loose that way you might have to remove the bed to get access to the clips to remove the lines. it will have a pressure and return line and at least 1 vapor vent hose. try something like pb blaster or sili-kroil and let them soak for a day or two

Re: 00 fuel line and possible gas tank drop?
oh ok i just picked up these round clip pullers from my local parts store ill try it in couple days gotta finish doing the brake lines on this truck never seen a shared back brake line usually i see 4 brake lines not 3
but i don't have pb blaster ran out i guess wd40 not strong enough dunno what silli kroll is isn't the only way to soak these bolts is if you could flip the truck upside down or back the truck into a PB blaster bath tank lol i can spray them that's about it don't know why they made it so awkward ok so if the 3rd one goes to a vent under the hood what is that black box behind the gas tank tail gate side its a rectangle box |

Re: 00 fuel line and possible gas tank drop?
i said at least one vapor line, probably has another one or two that go to that tank along with one from the engine compartment. if you do get a can of pb blaster type stuff you can buy extended hoses that fit into cap to spray into places the can won't fit if the top of the bolt is exposed but hard to get to

Re: 00 fuel line and possible gas tank drop?
oh ok i didn't know there was multiple vent lines that's all so what is that rectangle box then
i only used to GM cars and Dodge trucks so they only ever had 3 lines 2 for fuel and the other for emission gas vapor what not.. but ok ill give that a shot i just finished doing all new brake lines so ill spray and let it sit a few days |
