Alarm won't chirp

I need help with getting alarm to chirp. I took my car in for repairs (fuel pump), the mechanice hit the override button up under dash and now when I use keyless remote, it won't chirp. He didn't know to simply hiot the unlock button to start the car. There is nothing in my book for this....anyone know?
