2001 Drivers Door
Having some new issues with my drivers door on my Grand Am. The middle support is popping and creaking something fierce. The door does not move vertically. It seems that the support doesn't move freely. Anyone got a schematic with how this works or even know what its called. Can't find a replacement online!

Re: 2001 Drivers Door
If it is like mine, in the middle of the door is the mechanism that keeps it from opening to wide. The metal has cracked and is rubbing against each other when you open the door. You probaly hear a loud crack when it is about 1/3 open than again at 2/3. If so look where the mechanism bolts on fender. I plan on welding mine up with a mig welder when I get a minute. Could get this done at a body shop or any place that can weld light metal.
