I NEVER saw one on the street...i just saw the Type S (I know the Type R is better...or is the Type S the Type R...are they the same?) anyway ya'll think Acura or Honda dealers will have it or anyone cuz I never saw one on the street...just in shows!

Re: DC5 Type R!!!!!
The Type S is a far cry from the Type R.
The Japanese Type R gets: Recaro seats (so does the Type S but they're black instead of coloured, and they're leather not suede) LSD 17' Rims Body kit and Wing Springs Brembo brakes Beefed up engine (217 hp vs 200) Little trim and things like that HID's And more. I'm 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% sure there won't be a Type R or at least not a Type R like the DC5R. The Integra Type R (DC2) was a watered down version of the Japanese DC2R. Same thing would apply here. The DC5R needs about 98 octane fuel, thus meaning detuning would have to occur for it to pass emissions and use a lower octane fuel. Plus Acura believe that the A-Spec is good enough for us. And lastly, it is believe that the 2005 RSX will be better and redesigned. |

Re: DC5 Type R!!!!!
Buy a (as Canuck said, "detuned") Type R conversion on ebay for about three times the cost of a Type S. An incomplete conversion just sold about 3 months or so ago...

Good luck getting a new RSX/Integra Type-R in the US, or Canada, for that matter. Let me know if you ever sneak one into the country!

Re: DC5 Type R!!!!!
I say get a 2001 integra type R. And if you can, find a jdm itr front end conversion and slap it on there. If not you can get a rsx type S, but not a R, the Rsx Type R is only in japan, and it isn't called an RSX type R, it is a Honda Integra Type R!

I'd get the Type S over the Teg Type R.

Re: DC5 Type R!!!!!
Me too.
The RSX seats are Recaro designed, but it doesn't have their badge or famous alcantara suede. |

Re: DC5 Type R!!!!!
Yeah, they do because the RSX is only a worse handler to the teg's because of the height and tires.
A DC5R would beat a DC2R |

Re: DC5 Type R!!!!!
Sorry, that's very cool and all, but the cash you are going to spend will get you a far better car. And what about importing an S15 or something?
