loosen one of the plugs on the distributor enough to see if the spark from the wire jumps to the distributor first you will need 2 people for that then come back here (DONT GET SHOCKED)

Re: my baby wont start :(

well you can get an instrument that you plug into the fuel line on the engine and it measures the pressure, I'm not sure the specs. But if this is the problem, you have to change the fuel pump in the gas tank...which is, taking the whole gas tank down and replacing the pump...not really an easy job

Re: my baby wont start :(

obvisouly, take it to a mechanic...it'll cost an arm and a leg, but if it gets you back and running, and you can't do it yourself, its definately worth it.

take it to a mechanic and have them check it but not fix it, if its the fuel pump you can do it pretty easy and a new one shouldnt cost anymore than 80 bucks

Re: my baby wont start :(

You need to know for sure you actually have a fuel problem. Try starting with ether and see if it will run. Have seen simple problems like coolant temp sensor in no-start situations.

Re: my baby wont start :(

ok, if you can turn the key over and they car tries to start, but never 'ignites', that is definately i fuel issue. OR, if it doesnt even turn at all, and the lights (battery, seatbelt) turn on when u turn the ignition over, your battery is good. Problem probably is the starter itself.

no, i've replaced two fuel pumps. and all i needed was socket wrenches to take the straps off the tank. its as easy as replacing the air filter.

Re: my baby wont start :(

I dont know if you are still monitoring this thread, but i had the same problem with mine. Turned out it was the crank sensor. Replaced it and runs like a champ. Hope this helps.
