i have a bandpass box in my truck.
its a completely enclosed box, with two 12in speakers inside with two port holes up top. its plastic on the front part so you can see the spreakers.

You contradicted yourself... It isn't completely enclosed. The box has multiple ports and many different tunings

yeah, i guess i did contradict myself a bit. what i ment though was the speakers are enclosed inside the box.

Re: Bandpass box...

bandpass boxes have multiple tunings and have some peaks if done wrong. If you use an eq, then you can get them to sound decent. If you do it right it will sound good. They are extremely hard to tune properly

Re: Bandpass box...

and when Haibane says "tune", he means tuning the box when it's first designed/built. If the box is already built then you're screwed, because I've never seen a prefab bandpass box that was worth anything.
