Re: Sunroof Flew Off??

Sure if youd don't check the screws that hold it in it could fly off when it was open. If I had one I'd make checking the tightness of the screw a part of regular maintance. Unless you're talking about a moonroof (i believe that's what they're refered to but could be wrong) the ones that are stationary and don't pop up, then the seal must have broke loose which i would consider a freak accident.

Holy shit man.. yeah sounds like a freak accident, just go to a junkyard tomorrow and get a new assembly for ~$200.

oh man, this is too weird because the EXACT same thing happend to me last sunday. I was going down a major road here in tampa, and i was going around 70'ish, I go to open up my sunroof and throw back the sunshade block and my freakin glass part to the sunroof was completely gone, and it's the rainy season here in florida too so it rains everyday and i had to secure a black garbage bag on top of my car and tape it down with duct tape. haha, this is just beyond ghetto.

Hmmmmm. Maybe that's why Honda changed the design of where the glass goes when you open the sunroof.
I'm just glad that mine retracts under the roof when it's open.

Those few precious pounds could make a world of difference, especially when you live your life a quarter mile at a time. That line is so lame, even by Hollywood standards. I need to go shower, i feel dirty just typing that out.

Re: Sunroof Flew Off??

There was a product recall for Webasto sunroofs because there is a known issue with the sunroof glass blowing off/flying away. The dealer can replace the sunroof for free if it meets the following criteria: https://sunroofcheck.com.au/faqs.php
