Exhaust Rattle

I Bought My 02 Trailblazer 2 Years Ago I Put Alot Of Highway Miles On The Car. I Have Had Many People Look At My Muffler And Cataylatic Convertor For Damage And Found None. I Just Got The Vehicle Inspected This Week And It Past All The Emissions Test. But The Car Makes A Small Rattling Noise When I Take Off And Stop At An Idle. Very Annoying But I Dont Want To Replace The Whole Exhaust Line For Just A Little Noise Either. THE QUESTION IS WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE THE NOISE STOP

Re: Exhaust Rattle

Agreed, is the noise actually from the exhaust and what component?

Re: Exhaust Rattle

I have the same issue. When the 2002 Trailblazer LT is sitting idle, you can hear a rattling noise coming from the muffler. If I put my foot on the tailpipe, it will stop. I am not sure if something is loose, but it almost sounds like there is something inside rattling around.
