Cannot locate IAT on 1999 Windstar, 3.8L
Hello,
Recently purchased a Driveworks IAT sensor and now cannot locate the item on the vehicle. AutoZone/Carquest is no help and I am now baffled... It's not the cost I am concerned with, it is the apparent deception of listing an item for sale that "is a suitable product" for your vehicle statement. Attached is picture of the item. Clearly, it does not attach to the bellows intake assembly Does anyone know? Thank you, Richard |

Re: Cannot locate IAT on 1999 Windstar, 3.8L
I don't KNOW, but I THINK that Ford made some mid-model changes on this item, and the IAT moved from being a separate sensor to being included in the "mass air flow sensor". I believe the IAT signal is between the GY and the GY/RD conductors of the MAF sensor connector.
Hope this gives you a beginning point. |

I think that you are correct and I am going to send this part to "parts heaven". I will save you reply though as it might help me to diagnos if their is a problem with the IAT.
Thanks again for the reply. |

12Ounce is right it is located with the mass air flow sensor in the air intake box. See https://www.justanswer.com/ford/0qr1...-location.html
