2005 burb 1500 dumping coolant on ground again 2 weeks after replacing thermostat
I'm just going to start off by saying this vehicle has been nothing but issues since I got it last year.
I know there's a bad ground. After buying it, then sticking another $1200 at the mechanics to replace gas lines, starter, battery, and a few other things. This f*cker wouldn't even start in the parking lot of the shop. He shrugged it off and said it's an "electrical issue" and would find it and fix it if I wanted that to. Which I declined to do saying I didn't need anymore of his, "expertise" *I put a kill switch on the battery which I've had no problem with the it starting since then Anyway, that's not the point of this post. 3 weeks ago, it's overheating, blowing cold air, dumping coolant on the ground. So I replaced the thermostat and coolant and it's been fine. Now, it's suddenly doing it again. *Can't take it to a shop cuz.... I'm poor.lol. I just need to figure out why it's overheating and dumping coolant again... Oddly enough, I had a whole bunch of warning lights about my brakes and stability go off at the exact same time it started pouring coolant again. |

Any idea where the coolant is leaking? There are numberous possibilities, from the heads and intake to simply hoses.
Does the vehicle have dual heat?

If it were mine, I'd tie a bread sack with a rubber band over the radiator snout- without cap on of course- then let it run 10 minutes- see if it blows up like a balloon in 30 seconds- a true indicator of a head gasket leak- dumping exhaust fumes into coolant system.
Most times with throwing up coolant and no heat from heater core issues- its a bad head gasket....just sayin'

I sucked it up and took it to a mechanic. It's the waterpump, which got coolant over basically everything corroding belts that also have to be replaced. Quoted me at $650 |

Quoted me that it wouldn't be more than $650. So, I'm thinking about giving myself a pedicure and selling feet pictures to Indians on the internet so I have a damn vehicle. |
