What amp?

Hey guys, i need some input. I need an amp for my TC-5200. It has dual 2.4 dcr coils, so i'm looking for about 3000 rms @ 2 ohms. These are what i am thinking about now, in order of what i like best to least with approximate cost. Any other sugguestions are appreciated. I want a quality amp that will put out a crap ton of power while sucking the least amount of current possible.
1. DD Z1 - $1000
2. 2x Sundown SAZ-1500D - $900
3. Soundstream XXX-6500D - $625
4. 2x IA 20.1 - $900

Re: What amp?

I was going to suggest either the DD or IA 201..

Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota.

Re: What amp?

DD's a good choice. However, there are lots of other options available. Better look through online catalogs. They sure come in handy.

Re: What amp?

kinda an old thread. now i'm leaning towards the sundowns. but i still have no money. the good thing about the sundowns is they are shorter than the 20.1s, and i could buy one and then the other later.

Re: What amp?

the guys at stereo integrity are BIG on sundown amps. I saw them at the NOPI nationals last year in Atlanta. It was also the IASCA and USAC finals. Their display booths were right next to each other.
