Problem with the tape deck

The Tape deck in my 99 Camry makes a buzzing sound whenever I insert a tape. Then it starts switching sides on its own and eventually ejects itself.

Do you know what the cause of this may be? Maybe I just need one of those cleaning kits? What should I do first? Thanks

Re: Problem with the tape deck

I see there is a wet process cleaner (which is a 2 step process) and a dry process (which is a one step process)

which one is better and why?

Re: Problem with the tape deck

wet process is more thorough, but be aware that either can possibly damage the unit

Re: Problem with the tape deck

Just be sure you're cleaning the thing through. Some solutions just won't work!
