You are correct Kimmo these wheels were used on mixed surfaces but I think they are generally considered tarmac wheels.

Re: Ford Escort RS1800
Does anyone have a good photo of the tread pattern of a Dunlop tarmac tire? I know they used multiple different tread patterns and even slicks (no tread pattern) when allowed. I am looking for something with very little pattern that was most common.

I agree, they were more likely to use a gravel rim on tarmac than the tarmac rim on the dirt. Very rarely do you see a period photo of the cars with the tarmac wheels on dirt. They may do so today, but not back in the '70s and '80's.

Re: Ford Escort RS1800
I do have that book but I need an internet image to send to the CAD designer. I am going with this tread pattern. The pattern was developed for rally cars in the 1970s
Although it is a Michelin pattern and I know the works team raced on Dunlops and later Pirellis it looks a lot like this period photo.

Re: Ford Escort RS1800
Adding more detail to the front strut mounts including the brackets for the strut brace.

Re: Ford Escort RS1800
Went a little different direction on the tread pattern based on this period photo.
