Yes, I did.
Talked about his memories of '95 and how he feels to be re-united with #01R.
He sat down into the car and mumbles some (I guess Finnish) things, and when I asked him how it feels and he said thing like it doesn't feel like 20 years ago.
After a while we had a chat with one the mechanics and he suggested that some parts has been changed to his mind, but the mechanic denied. For example the gear knob, but it isn't, it's still the same as in '95 to be seen on a mark when look inside on the bottom.
All in all it was great moment to chat with Sekiya and JJ. Next time I'll ask Dalmas too, he went straight to race control after the lap (he's a FIA official these days).

I don't know about that. I felt strange also that it would have been there, with driving condition. Images are still very good - even it really seems there has been done HUGE work to get it real.

An article in the first issue of McLarens new Project #01 magazine, which I must say is a fantastic mag, hopefully one of many more to come, credits inside the back page give special thanks to the Automobile Club de l,Quest for the use of the Le Man's circuit and pit complex. There is a two page article showing one of Alex Howes pics, 01R doors open in the pit lane.

Dates and timing of the pics, night time back in January, this is not to say the car was there as the pics may be blended together, Photoshop is a wonderful editing suite, maybe someone from McLaren can confirm.

Great memories for you. A great event to see your first Gtr's , which in theory may only be repeated for the 25 anniversary!
What a shame they didn't do more of a static display,& Eurosport didn't show the parade lap, despite showing everything else.
You will never forget this awesome day. We all wish we could have been there in 1995, but this was as near to that as you will get.
A fantastic McLaren year sofar!
