wow, 8 seconds to reach 60, that sounds a little crazy to me, considering an escalade does it in like 7.4...and yes, i now, escalade has 6.0 liter v8, but it weighs over 5500 pounds

I have posted FACTS before in this thread - and of course they have been routinely ignored. So, here goes again:

1998 maxima 0-60 6.6 manual 7.6 auto
2000 maxima 0-60 6.7 manual 7.0 auto
2002 maxima 0-60 6.3 manual 6.7 auto
2002 altima(2.5) 0-60 7.7 manual 8.7 auto

Every kind of maxima beats the 2.5 altima. Only a highschool girl or a grandmother loses to the 2.5 - except for MAYBE vs the 1998 max auto (driven by a quadraplegic or a dog). Put equally skilled drivers in any of these vehicles and the maxs win every time.

I expect these facts will be ignored again, but since I already posted the theoretical data - that proved the 2.5 can't beat any max, I thought I would post the test-drive data - which also proves the 2.5 can't beat any maxima.

Heh.

It just dawned on me, that chances are he doesnt even own an altima, but convinced the fella whose car he waxes to let him take pictures and brag about it..

that would explain no effort to put his money where his mouth is.

And, I think the maxima would win.

[quote]You were right for the 5 speed Maxima, those times are not for
the 00 and 01 Maximas with autos, like you posted. Car and Driver
and Motor Trend got around 8.0 0 to 60 for 00 and 01 Auto Maximas.[/qutoe]

my point is that if a 5500 pound escalade runs to 60 in 7.4 seconds, there's no way in hell it takes a 3200 pound maxima 8.0 seconds to do the same, especially with better gearing

Clever, using an obscure joke that isnt funny and that few, if anyone would get.

How's that working out for you? Being clever..

Do you miss your davey? I'm sorry for your loss...

stay on the topic, Jerkass.

You mean to claim that the max has an 8 second best? And is geared weaker than an escalade? interesting.
