Sweeeet I'm in Purdue's newspaper today

http://www.purdueexponent.org/?modul...&story_id=6247

For something that requires more than just a brainstem and vocal cords for once. All the other times were for things like graduating high school and proms and getting academic honors things back in high school, but now I actually got into the paper for something I deem relevant lol

Hm, trying to get it scanned at home is a task lol

Explaining to parentals, that autozone's scanner will not do what I need it to do is even more of a task lol.

This guy I know at a trans shop, has a scanner that'll scan the entire pcm history of codes... hopefully can get to the bottom of what might be going on... only code I'm able to pull right now is still the random misfire lol, tell me something I dont already know

Just getting the GA there is a problem lol

I went ahead and ordered MSD ignition

Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread

Hey Vipey, I know you were talking about repainting your car... how about this color? Quite interesting isn't it?! it's not your normal stock color.

Onto a random thought. Can anyone tell me what people are thinking when they go to mod their car? For instance. I saw a brand new Honda accord today. This persons idea of "modding" was painting the pop on hubcaps black and putting a HUGE exhaust system on that hung past the bumper by a good 6 inches! to top it off this person was driving a speedy 35 in a 50 zone.... i guess he was afraid he may lose his 3 dollar paint investment to a pot hole.... I just don't get people somedays... It's just as bad as the modded minivans around here with wings and body kits attached by wood screws... Oh yeah and i forgot the random decals all over them...

Nothing beats my modded sprinter

And that color is neat... but if I had those subs I'd have to hang myself. Such a waste of money on poor quality! Seriously, who the f@#$ came up with the idea of octogonal subwoofers?! Seriously?! You can buy some IDQ10's for approximately that price and they get louder and they are, according to about 2/3 of the elite car audio universie, some of the best sound quality subs that ever existed. And my sub just slaughters those Xplods in everything... if anyone has any doubt I invite you to lose your hearing in my car The difference being I play mine incredibly quiet 99.9% of the time unless someone turns the street into a competition hehe.

Wow I got sidetracked... anyway yeah that's a neat color. I'll consider that. I want to think about every fathomable thing I can do to my car and pick select things I want to do. If I had that cars rims too, I'd just paint CIVIC on my forehead and launch myself off a cliff before the sunrise of realization began to dawn on me that I'm a ricer.

WOOOOOOOOO!

Oh and another thing I'm thinking... I'm wondering if CJM in town can port and polish my engine... I mean it's at like 177,000 miles now, I'm sure it could use a fresh rebuild. If he has the tools (and ability) to massively port and polish the heads, manifolds, etc. (he already said he can make my TB 62mm I believe), then it might actually be cheaper to have him do that instead of me buying a brand new blob of heads, headers, pushrods, etc. I guess the problem comes into HOW I get good pushrods to go with the custom work if it's possible... ideas anyone?

Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread

HE should paint the inside that color

Thats original !!

I like that cameleon color that changes, expensive though.
Or paint it like a mood ring so it changes with your mood(heat).

Make it go black w/ red for pissed off race mode, green when happy, etc.
