oh btw, I have a hole in my pocket from all this money sitting around from saving for stageII heads... I think I just might grab the headers, P&P upper and lower intakes milled and TB matching 62mm, and a stageI N/A cam (depending if the supercharged Cam has more lift that'll work with stock heads) ... Thoughts on this?

Also, im about to rip out my back seats and everything in my trunk cept for rear strut bar and speakers lol... btw I did my rear strut bar... feels very tight in the back lol

I like the GTO just fine. I'd like to have the VRX only because its right hand drive I'd just like the pass. to ride the yello line @ 185mph

I wouldnt mess with that SC cam unless you have the SC.
Other wise it'll run like poooop! and waste gas! But it might sound good

Also ditch that spare and jack you'll loose 25-30lbs
Neither of my GA's carry a spare or jack in the trunk

Hows those gas prices ?
I just pain $3.65 for 87 oct

You two better save and buy some stocks in Oil

eh I doubt it, I sent em a message asking the difference between the 2.... hopefully its just a bigger lift that'll still work on stock heads

that tire has helped me a few times lol

93oct is at 3.34/gal here

btw, a friend of mine doesnt think that adding the upper/lower intakes, w/ headers and A Cam will make my car very loud .. pssh, just wait =)

Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread

They probably never heard Xero's car before either... then again I havent either because every time he drives through my town I never see him I'm sure if I'm nearby I'd hear him tho haha

My car sounds pretty cool already... turns heads. Once I get my headers, people will go HOLY GOD that's a loud V6!

Muahahaha but I think I'll get LIM/UIM, heads, etc. first and get the expensive things out of the way

K back to work lol

Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread

I guess its better to have head turn for a loud engine, and a "flashy" car rather then "other" reasons. HAHAH. Nothings more embrassing then driving and having the belts screeching and the engine sounding like death!

Gas here for Regular is $2.89 and climbing fast!!!!!! time to go buy a bike and ride a bike to work

Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread

Yeah my belt is kinda loud and I want to get that looked at... I can almost hear it over my engine! I think it's pretty new tho so there's no reason it should be worn out already... maybe it's just not lined up correctly. Regardless, it's not a trivial matter and I should get it fixed ASAP unless I want a metal salad under my hood lol

Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread

Yea that Eye Ball was a fun project over the last couple days waiting for parts or a phone call. I realy liked how the reflection turned out, can you tell what it is

Headers alone will make your car much louder w/ the 2.5" piping. Loud enough in some areas to get you stoppped

Yea grfnkl, I hate it when I have squeeks and rattles that others may hear. Maybe they dont , but if I can I assume they can....

Vipey you using the Good Year Gatorback belt ??
If so it should not be make any noise, if that break you know you loose power steering and no water pumping.
That can be hazzardest to your engine, and walking sucks

Gas droped today to $3.60-62 for the cheapp stuff

Also I'll try and start the trans biuld thread later tonight.
It might be closed until I finish it but you can read through it and view some pics

Enjoy your day everyone!

Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread

Xi and Vipey...I heard on the news you are going to have a bad summer for the secatas( unsure on spelling we call them Cateedids around here... I have no clue on that one either or whatever you call them). they were saying it's gonna be so bad you are gonna be shoveling them up off the ground... and the noise will be deafening! That's gonna suck if you get it that bad!

Well we have the perfect start to a long weekend.. 90 degrees today and sunny! I'm leaving work early! WOhOO! Perfect beach weather.... I'm not going though cuz traffic will be a bitch!!!

Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread

"Cicadas" and yes they will be horrible soon. They are considered a delicacy by some though, so I'm thinking about netting those clumsy little monsters and selling them by the pound

That is, once I don a poncho and an umbrella to keep them off of me

I'm in Lafayette for the summer Xero, but I'm going up to Granger for Memorial day here in a couple of hours. Gotta fill up one of my tires before I go and then cruise my way home

I just found out Purdue has a car owners' club. I'm going to join that next semester. I hear there are some REALLY nice cars in the club (I've seen a few, some of them are MONSTERS!). Would be nice to bring a beefed up Grand Am into the mix to confuse people hehehehehe
