Well, at least it will have the new gravel wheels if nothing else. Hopefully it will actually come out, unlike the Rally Japan Focus.

Hasegawa is typically very good about the accuracy of their kits. One needs to look no further than the quality of their Miura to see that.

This wasn't mentioned previously, and I know some members here would be interested that Aoshima is releasing there Chiki-chiki series kit stretch wall wheels and tires separately. It's more like a tune up set (like the Drift parts or Spo-com parts) as it comes with other bits as well. Some of those will be perfect for the new AE86 kits.

Yeah stretch walls! Didn't they discontinued them a few years ago?

Those older releases were similar wheels but different sizes and tires, with wider and deeper rear wheels and tires as many of these wheels came from various old school racing kits and silhouette racers.

So: what I see...

When I first saw announced the F430, my first thought was that it would be a rebox of the Revell AG kit, but is Hasegawa who reboxes the Revell kits, and now I’m thinking it’s entirely a Fujimi new tool, to bad it wont include engine (I guess) as a Tamiya version would, I hope that Revell’s version includes an engine following the 612 inertia, if this happens, well, kit bashing is the way to go.

I don’t have too much hopes on the F40GT as a new tool, I think it will be the old kit with some extra parts (roll cage, slicks), any will it will be a must have.

Sad the Dino and the Maserati are resins, pricing over the 39,000 Yen they’re so expensive.

The Murcio Roadster, Great!! Good way to go Fujimi!!, I hope the suspension-chassis assembly be corrected in this version.

The 307 is great news!!! Being Tamiya it is also a must have, even when Tamiya just disappointed with the 911 turbo, too much wait for a modified reissue of an old SNAP KIT!!! It includes the same awful metal axes for the front wheels of the old version!!

Fujimi is awesomely filling the market with great new stuff, I wonder where is Tamiya and why are they sleeping from the sport auto world?

Tamiya is counting on the blind loyalty of "Ohh, it's Tamiya so it's instantly god's own model kit" followers to keep them around as they continue to release overpriced, under-detailed, and inaccurate model kits onto our shelves.

If people start catching on that Hasegawa has them beat hands down for classic sports car curbside kits, or that Aoshima's tuner/import kits are about on par, Tamiya will be in a world of hurt on their automotive end.

On the other hand, Tamiya has such a command of the military and aircraft market that it's doubtful Tamiya will care too much.
