Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread
Someone else is posting in the off topic forum?!!!! OMG! It's not just the three of us anymore! Well Welcome 00grand-am! I hope you enjoy countless hours in the forums like i do while I'm at work!
There is no way that guy could get that out of his g/a. It reminds me of those ricer kids, that think with thier 95 honda civic, after some stickers a cambells soup can exhaust, and a shopping cart wing that they are pushing 270 horses off of the stock motor which has 140 horses. Come on people!

Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread
I found this and thought it was pretty funny.....
Twas the night before Christmas and caught at the light, Was a domestic V8 and no cops in sight, I will try, I will try, I will try with this small motor, To beat this damn Camaro, even with it's big power, As the light goes green and I pull like no joke, The Camaro erupts in clouds of tire smoke, Now Smasher, now Rev-ver, now Stroker, now Blitzin, These are the names of my four VTEC pistons, Racing ahead I'm the Star of the Action, But I know I'm in trouble when that V8 gets traction, Grabbing second, I hear the RPM sing, My mirror is blocked by my Shopping Kart Wing, I now hear the roar, of that big monster gaining, All I can do is keep that four-banger straining, In a second, the shockwave hits with a blast, And my stickers go flying now, a thing of the past, Don't bother with third, cause now it's too late, Just try to act cool, like you can relate, Looking up at the taillights as they get smaller, The driver backs off just to give me a holler, "You can't win them all," he says in fling, "You may not win any, in that silly thing", I scowled and revved and let out a sigh, And did my trademark high-speed fly-by.

Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread
Ya welcome aboard 00grand-am.
I know you are new, But in the future please consolidate your posts into one. Just keeps things cleaner and It is outlined in the Community Participation Guidelines not to. but we'll let you slide this time On the trunk and subs, shesh you could get 4-5 12's in there, and some amps On the 250HP() even though he "says" its dyno'd I dont beleive its possible with the mods he had at the time, IMHO(in my humble opinion) you need to tune it way up for that and the stock injectors would not last long at that rate. I read on another forum where some guy got a tune at a shop(no mods) and got 50HP for $300 On another post, a guy just built a turbo kit without any other mods, would not run any higher then 2500 rpm's. He just put a turbo onto an exhaust manifold and thought it would work NOT ! With boost you need a DHP or something simular, bigger injectors and someone who is a really good tuner Plus a few other odds and ends. Ya grfnkl, some people opcorn: Nice Xmas poem too !

Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread
this suit is blacknot -borat
putting things into perspective, my uh engine rebuild plans arent gonna be happening soon untill maybe next fall lol if i have the GA still that is... im still pushing for headers and cat to finish the exhaust and hopefully I can do the TB... from there I think I might go with costmetics I found some metal APC z3 fenders that dont look to shabbeh.. they're not the fins but eh some other sort of z3 .. it wouldnt look to bad with my GT front thats collecting dust in my garage..... thought angel eye fog lights, Car painted black or white, windows FIXED! grr and maybe tinted and uh my gauge pod finished with that aerotech w/e neato gauge Ive been wanting forever... more money... gah would it be worth repainting the whole GA? im sure it'd be possible to do ONLY the visable outside/inside doors... I could care less what the engine compartment looks like ... just want new outside.. you can def see sun fade in the paint as where its cracking off on the rear bumper none of my windows work lol, they each have their own story.. which reminds me if I have time saturday to fix my front passenger... do the fix Ive done on the ones in the rear.. make it only go up! muhaha then disconnect the power to the switch so I never have to worry about it going down... ever I think the angel eyes would be nice... along with clear lights from ebay w/ new lights... the bright whites or one w/ blue tint all this and Im not even talkin about Rims! .. I kinda like the uh stock black steel metal w/ circles ... easy lug nut access in case some1 else needs to use my tires woot

Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread
I sold my Strut Braces on Ebay... Very pleased with that sale! Now I can put the money towards either the g6 or my 88g/a. Plus it's one less thing sitting on my airhockey table at home. So now Maybe just maybe i can focus on our Christmas train display that will yet again cover the airhockey table for a few months. LMAO
00grand-am: thats great with the z28!A buddy of mine had a Z28, any rice that went near him would have been cooked.. Nothing like the car sounding like a stock car while inside! lol! it was great! One good thing about the G6 though rice doesn't come near me either at this point and when they do they are too busy staring at my 18in rims and trying to figure out what i'm driving. Then i open it up just a little and they are trying like hell to keep up. Oh the joys i have! Gir: don't feel bad I've gone and are going through the same thing with mods. Having big plans and not able to make them happen. the best thing i could have ever done was set off an account with money that I would put money in when i was able to for mods and car expenses. Plus you make some interest even if it's only pennies it's still something! When you are ready just shop around until you find the best deal. Well I'm off too looking busy for a little while, before i make this a long holiday weekend! If i don't make it back in here before then. I wish all of you a Happy Chrismahanukwanzika. ( this way i cover all the holidays) LMAO Later

Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread
I forgot thier was a week in between the hoolidays
Ya grfnkl, those would be ok. But already have like 12 or 18 blu LEDS. So by time I'm done with this I'll probley loose half from the resister wires breaking, cheap ! very cheap! I do like thier rig with the bulb for the overhead. I was going to do something like that with a burnt bulb. Instead I just drilled a tiny hole in each contact, then soldered wires to the fixture , it works ! Just trying to be different... ........... I guesss I could just lay out star constalations on my headliner
