Re: Introduction thread

Wow... I never paid this thread any attention... I guess it's time to reveal my true identity (the fake one anyway)...

I'm Mike (Michael Bolton, yeah, it's true)... from NC...
I'm 20 (21 in Sept '07)... I like my cars, I like working on cars, computers, music (playing guitar and recording/mixing), I like to hang out and have a good time...

I used to skateboard, til 3 yr ago, a basil skull fracture changed my mind...

I currently work for Daughtridge Sales Co (not the gas company), I'm a calibration Technician (see my thread "work")

I have done a/b every type of job there is: construction, remodeling, landscaping, computers(owned my own business for awhile; got bored), web design, recording music, playing in bands,

Re: Introduction thread

Hows it going fellas? My name is Brian. I live in a town called Point Marion, PA. Its about 50 miles south of Pittsburgh and just north or Morgantown, WV. I had moved alot when younger but been back here for 12 years now. I am your typical 20 something and enjoy hanging out with my friends, bowling, football, etc etc. I dont want to bore you.

I just picked up a modded AWD 93 Talon TSI. It has Ported 16G, 550cc Injectors, Aeromotive Adjustable FPR, 2g MAS, Greddy Type S BOV, Upper Hardpipe Kit, Super Sidemount, ACT 2600 Clutch Kit, Unorthodox Lightweight Flywheel, 3" exhaust to Apexi N1 Muffler, SAFC, Cross Drilled Rotors

I picked the car up for a steal and have some money left so I might throw a few more mods at it. I am a regular poster over on 3si.org and in teh 3/s forum here on AF. I also started posting again over at DSMsource and will post here some now as well.

Re: Introduction thread

Turboing your RS and swapping in a turbo engine are two very different beasts to tackle. Make sure you do a lot of reading and research on these boards before you actually start doing anything...

Re: Introduction thread

I've already done reading on turboing my car but I guess if you say its different I should read on that subject then. I was going to turbo my car but a guy I know is selling his and thats just easier for me. Finding a trust worthy mechanic around here is not.

Your trying to swap in a 4g63 in place of a 420A right? If yes, that is VERY different than just turboing your 420A.

Re: Introduction thread

I just thought of something...we should have pictures added with this thread. Anybody else agree? I would say limit it to one or two photos just so it dosn't get really cluttered.
