It's good to be the boss, huh? If your operation is getting into racing and you just happen to be the boss and get to choose the driver, then why not pick yourself? See, there are perks with the job!

I would like to remind everyone that even though the driver gets all the credit, he would be nowhere without the rest of the team. People seem to forget us, the mechanics, when they watch a race. They only think about the driver and other highly visible parts. Most people never seem to think about how many hours of prep other team members, like the mechanics for one, spend getting ready for just one race.

Not to steal anyone's thunder, but a victory for a driver is really more a victory for the less-visible team members; everyone from the engine builder, to the mechanic, to office staff, to the pit-crew, etc.

Re: Igor Sushko Takes Three Checkered Flags at Virginia International Raceway

Good Job Igor!

More than winning races, you help us all to remember what your detractors seem to have forgotten is that you are embracing the true strength of our country. America is the land of “Opportunity”. Sometimes it takes someone from another shore to remind us that “Opportunity” is a blessing of democracy. You have just embraced an “opportunity”. It is important to me that you take this “opportunity” to excel, not that you will always win.

Keep up the good work. By the way I am taking my son back to Putnam next month for his first DE where you so graciously showed me the line last year. Tomzz - KY

Hey, Sushko is like one of those Ukrainian names. He must be Russian or Ukranian. Am I right?
