Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread

Well Gir sounds like your on your way with the GA
You might even see an improvement in mpg with the cooler stat.

I got the front bumper lastnight, two days early imagine that.
Got it ready to paint in the morning.
I did screw up though, I didnt inspect the ac condenser very well,
and I had to do a supplement with the insurance comp

Also I picked up my xrays on CD today.
But I am having troubles installing the "special" viewer.
I'll post a couple freaky xrays when I get the thing to go

Sorry guys for jumping in like this but I need your help to answer this question. "True or False? Some OHC engines have valves that are not adjustable. Maybe it is an easy question but so far I think OHC engines can have one of the most complicated valvetrain systems. Thank you in advance

Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread

Well I've been busy, first time I can actually sit down on the forums for more then 2 minutes!

Hey gir. I have a quick question for you, are you familiar with San Angelo TX? If you are is it big , small, good, bad etc. My girl is trying to get a job in her field and she found one there. Since neither one of us are really familiar I figure i would find out for her... Not i'm too thrilled about moving to tx though if she were to get it though....

No, havent heard to much about it... I just know its location, and weather cant be to different from what I get here.

TX isnt all that bad opcorn: humid heat sucks but most of the people are use to it here

side note..... Im so tempted to order my headers,.. but moving out is in question -_- grrr

I always forget the distance is soo much greater in texas to get around. For the time to get from where you live to the place we are looking at Is the equivalent of going through like 3 different states up here! Weather wise I'm not too concerned, We have heat and humid days here to, just probably not as many as you get. The once or twice I've past through it wasn't bad. It just sucks not knowing where I will be living within a the year.....

Headers or moving out. I think i would opt for the moving out part!!! Parentals can drive you nuts.. LIKE MINE! hahahaha.

yea I just spotted where it was in texas... in general.... as far as I know, thats like desert out there lol.... as you go more and more west in TX it just gets sucky from my understanding

its somewhat green here, but when I use to live on the coast... very very greeeen and humid... but I loved it lol, more of a tropical climate

Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread

desert , is that pie with whip cream ?

I hate the hea & humidity!
I could live in 100-120 deg weather if the humidity was low & dry.
All that moisture just makes it feel so much hottter

Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread

I've been to New Mexico when my sister lived out there, so i do know of the desert!!! If that's the way it is out towards that area, I would say that area of Texas would be a culture shock for me though. I live practially on top of NYC, you can drive 5 miles and go to 7 different malls, or shopping centers as well as tons to do ( not that i want to do any of it) I don't think My girl is going to go for that job anyways, she's would have considered it if it was closer to a larger city, like dallas, austin or houston. Right now the challenge is keeping her on the east coast.

the other thing i just thought of, The warmer the climate the larger the bugs. Not that all bugs bother me, but the friggen spiders. Gah! When they are the size of a small bird.. Damn! I'm gonna need a lot of RAID! HAHAHAH

Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread

Out west thiers all sorts of insects that suck ass!
Specificly Scorpions Rattle snakes

On a side note I got the GT painted and put back together thursday night.
Heres a crappy pic,
I forgot to paint the Pontiac emblem before I put it on the bumper,
thats why tapes around it

Also been working on debadging the GT.
I noticed after I removed them and washed the area,
when the water runs over where they were,
it leaves a ghost image of the badges, looks kickass.
