Re: Schnitzer BMW M3 E30 Sport Evo DTM 1992
excellent work so far.
Interested in the way you used the Evergreen bar on the front wings for alignment. I never see that done before. |

Hi
sanding the a,b and c-pillars. Fixing the c-pillar resin part... This is the target.... ...and the finished part. After 1 and a half week the body is done for...maybe 60%. Next step...decklid and rear wing. |

Re: Schnitzer BMW M3 E30 Sport Evo DTM 1992
Good progress so far.
I started my own build, and I knew the kit was bad, but it turned out worse than I had expected. That means more fun, though. I was almost tempted to build a slammer, so I don't have to modify the roof. I think Fujimi deliberately lowered the roof to match the roll bar part in the generic sprue that's shared with so many of their kits, like Skyline and Mercedes. |

Re: Schnitzer BMW M3 E30 Sport Evo DTM 1992
Hi
A small update... Cutting off the side off the car. I cut this part in two pices. Cutting a stripe of 1mm (0.0393701 inch) off and glue it on the top. The side of the car bevor... ...and now. Passenger Side is also done. |

Quite impressive to see the number of pieces your cutting from the original body...
Very interesting to see.

Re: Schnitzer BMW M3 E30 Sport Evo DTM 1992
Hi
Starting to correct the side of car. Using a lot of Evergreen and Tamiya putty. On this pic you see the line between the front fender an the door. The same area on the Fujimi model... ...and later. Got this beautiful Studio27 M3 Set at ebay last week. Here are all the parts an dthe manual instruction. The driver side is almost done... ...and this is the car at the moment with the new wheels. |
