RS200 As shown at the website at the top, this was based upon the RS1700T engine and had 4 wheel drive. The RS200 is quite a rare beastie and was purpose built for rallying. The name "RS200" came about because 200 were produced so that it could enter its class. The RS200 along with other cars within it's class were banned from rallying as they were deemed to be too fast!!! this was after a few tragic accidents involving spectators
 The RS2000 is quite a different beastie once again, came in the form of the european mk1 and mk2 escort for rallying and ford brought back the mk5a RS2000 as a "special edition", the mk5a are FWD and a few are 4WD with a tranversly mounted 150bhp 2.0 Zetec engine. The mk1 and mk2 escorts were RWD using a 2.0 pinto power plant. The pinto was developed by Cosworth to produce a 16v turbo pinto engine, the engine was used for rallying but in the form of the mk1 Sierra RS500 Cosworth and was extremely successful. Sorry I don't mean 2.0 zetec as I said above. The mk5a RS2000 used a 16v I4 engine that is a derivitive of the Sierra inline 2.0 DOHC 8v I4 engine.
