depends on the amp. some overheat easy (my kenwood 600, like having a heater in the car), some never seem to overheat (my power acoustik 420, 840, 1500)

Yup, its one of those things that everyone ASSUMES about audio... just like people ASSUME its bad to run the power wire and RCA cables down the same side of t he car. If PaulD were still here, me and him are probably the ONLY stronger supporters that will tell you this isnt bad with the right wiring
