Re: Lancia 037 with a big difference
Been working on the door.
So when I have the shape I can then build up the floor sills and door opening. Still lots to do. First made frame at bottom Then made up infill and filled moulding which I think must have held remote control equipment. Bit more filler and built up around the window frame. Will carry on tonight. |

Door frame all most completed.
Just the window frame and the kevlar door card to go. I'm pleased how it is going. |

Re: Lancia 037 with a big difference
Still been working on the floor.
I'm building some parts in wood as i'm going to have it vacuum formed. I will be building a vacuum forming table but I do not want to hold up the build so i'm sending it off for someone to do. I have to take most of the details from the 1/24th model amd photos I have. |

Re: Lancia 037 with a big difference
All this work needed... Wow !!
For sure it will bring a great result and make its effect, but sincerely I think I myself wouldn't try such a big scale model with so many corrections or scratch to do... You've a lot of courage !! |

Re: Lancia 037 with a big difference
Still working on the frame.
Lots of work will have to go into this. Also made some weld marks, pleased how they came out. Made a frame up to help with the other tubes. Have to make sure all is ok before I glue it. |

Re: Lancia 037 with a big difference
This is looking very impressive.
I need to save this thread somewhere for future reference, as I've got an 037 in my stash too. And this is (in my opinion) a reference build! Could you please explain how you made the weld seams? They look the business! |

I will do some photos on how I did weld lines soon. Very easy but remember this is on a 1/10th scale so may not work on all scales. Martin |
