one Problem, i think is away!, one cable from Battery to the starter was loose or what ever i fixit, now the engine ist starting. But the BIG other problem is that the Fuel Pump is running the hold time, ok if i turn the ignition key on "ON" the pump is running for about 5 second, if i start the engine, the pump is running the hold time. i dont know whats happend?

1998 lumina ltz Fuel Pump
Hello, maybe an stupid question??, ist that right that the Fuel Pump,------if the engine is starting working without stop, till i stop the engine, or is there an internal system, if the engine need fuel then the Fuel Pump will deliver ?

There is no such thing as a stupid question.
Yes, the fuel pump should operate continuously when the engine is running. Without the pump operating there is no pressure to the fuel injectors, and the engine cannot run.
