And if there are people out there who are so against novelty items like this pot candy, then they might as well outlaw every poster, album cover, and T-Shirt with a pot leaf on it. Hell, might as well make all caffeinated drinks unavailable to kids as well. Caffeine is a drug. Caffeine is addicting. Caffeine can most definately lead to disruptive behavior in children, and withdrawal symptoms if you try to pull them off it (anyone who's regularly consumed coffee for any certain amount of time can attest to that upon trying to quit.) And while they're at it, might as well pull a large amount of OTC cough and cold medicines off the shelves as well (which many places are starting to do now.) I don't know how many kids we catch every month trying to steal friggin' Coricidin because the DXM gets them buzzed when taken in a large enough dose. Hell, Nyquil is considered pretty safe stuff generally, but apparently when consumed in a large enough quantity and combined with little sleep, it produces hallucinogenic effects. Consumables aside, let's target spraypaint and all the other aerosols as well -- we're all well aware of the dangerous of "huffing." My point is, why are people whining about candy that "tastes" like pot, when there are so many things out there that have a far more detrimental influence on them. Oh yeah, that's right -- none of those things involve the "evil" marijuana.

You want to take it one step further? Let's outlaw all reality shows involving makeovers and marriage contests, because they foster a poor sense of self worth and morals in the children. Belly shirts and low-cut jeans? Send them up the river as well -- they have the potential to foster indecency and poor ideals about sexuality in children. My point? There is so much crap out there, you can only cry foul for so long, before you have to realize that the ONLY way to protect your kids from ill-influences, is to be a good parent. But too many parents are just ignorant of their responsibilites, and instead want to turn around and target things like pot flavored candy and "violent videogames and music." Meanwhile caffeine is overlooked, reality TV shows with their own warped outlook on life have become the "in" thing, and the way to keep a kid happy is park his fat ass in front of the XBOX and leave some frozen pizzas in the freezer. And people choose to get angry over CANDY? Society has some seriously F'ed up priorities. If any of the points I mentioned above seem contradictory, and the direction I took with them seems convoluted, then my message has gotten through -- you can't control the world, you have to draw the line somewhere. So why not draw it after the one thing you CAN effect far more than any shitty cigarette company or unscrupulous corporation ever could-- your child.

I dont think you understand. I could care less if its marijuana, or whatever, im saying, I DONT KNOW WHY ANYONE WOULD WANT TO EAT A CANDY TASTING LIKE MARIJUANA, not this whole lets take everything evil off the shelves.

Btw; when you said candy cigarettes i assumed you were talking about the Popeye sticks, not the ones that blow out candy smoke, not that that matters, because im talking about the taste not the morals behind it...

No, no, I understood. I wouldn't exactly be down with the flavor either. I was just looking for an excuse to bitch about something.

You know what, I don't know why people would want to eat candy that tastes like dirt or vomit, either. But the "Harry Potter All Flavor Jelly Beans" really flew off the shelf, and I didn't hear anyone bitching about those candies.

It's a novelty item. So what.

The reason noones bitching about them is because the general population most likely hasnt tasted it. On the other hand most people have tasted marijuana, and as far as i know not many people woudl go out of their way to buy candy that tasted like it...
