Re: 1:24 flatbed tow truck

Does it have to be Japanese?

The most common wreckers in Europe are the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter/VW Crafter and Atego. Both available in 1:24 scale.

The VW Crafter is available in die-cast form:

A German modeler is currently mastering transkits for this die-cast: single-cab, double cab and panel van.

The Atego is available from Revell:

Just cut off the cab extension and you're good to go. It even includes the lightbar and some of the fire equipment may also be used on a tow truck...

Re: 1:24 flatbed tow truck

I am taking November off and still have a CRV, a Murcie, and 2 Porsches to build, but I think I am going to get this going right away.
