Re: Books on the Mclaren - Which ones to get and why
I haven't had much time to look at Ebay lately, plus all of my money is currently allocated to a major purchase in my near future so I shouldn't be looking anyway.
That price is a shock - and a far cry from the high bid of ~$1,500 paid by the gentleman who owned my copy before me, and also far below the $550 I eventually paid him. I wouldn't say the market is falling out on F1 memorabilia based on one auction but it is a surpise to see such a rare item go for such a bargain. Lucky bidder! >8^) ER |

Re: Books on the Mclaren - Which ones to get and why
Hey guys, how's it going? I'm looking for a beat-up shabby copy of DA that would be worn out enough that I could get it for cheap. No inscriptions however. I'd like to have one I could read without having to fuss over it. I'm looking for a first edition from 1999. Does anyone have one like this they would like to unload?

Re: Books on the Mclaren - Which ones to get and why
I'm keeping my worn out, dog-eared, pages-bent, scruffy, scuffed, well read copy for myself
Any others you are welcome to, but I'm guessing they won't be at the price you are after

Re: Books on the Mclaren - Which ones to get and why
Yeah - I have a copy like that too but am not ready to part with it. I also have one that is in perfect condition, but the binding has split from the cover. The plan is to use it for some scans, but I still haven't bought a scanner yet. Once I am done with that it will be up for grabs, but the plan is to slice some pages out of it.
If I see any cheap copies floating around I'll keep you in mind Mike. >8^) ER |

Re: Books on the Mclaren - Which ones to get and why
I'm willing to buy a perfect copy if the price is right unlike the crazy prices people ask for them. As for a very beat-up copy I could feel comfortable reading; I'll pay a price relative to the books condition. So if you want to talk about one of your better copies send me a PM. Thanks!

That's not quite the bargain Mike was hoping for.
Would be amazing if it actually sells. To a crazy person it might be worth half that amount. >8^) ER |

Re: Books on the Mclaren - Which ones to get and why
Hello,
a good idea to find a DA worn to use it. If you find it please let me know too. At a point, I consider to buy Le Mans Edition which stayed at factory but I kept DA signed by Ron Dennis and Lewis Hamilton Edit : It's out of stock when cheap Last edited by cabrio92; 09-21-2011 at 04:50 AM. |
