Unhappy coolant

I'm trying to figure out why and where my coolant in my 93 Euro is going. It's not leaking but I've had to replenish it several times. Also, everytime I park my car I get a strong coolant smell. What's wrong?

Thumbs down Head gaskets- GM 3000 series Engines

These are all known issues, on a viriety, actually 75% of all makes and models by this leader in the technology of moving people......s wallets!

There are so many TSB's and so many variences of them based on what you paid, baught and so on. The warrenty team is a real treat to deal with. Straight fact is that it is a very poor design, maybe intentional to provide after sales revenue, only the shareholders know.

It is usually around the intake manifold that the gasket fails and no where near what type of mileage you should get from such a long respected manufacturer who knows better.

The engine series is now in a variety of lines, Impala, Grand Am, Grand Prix, Bonneville, Monte Carlo....the list goes on.

Lightbulb coolant is being combusted

If it's not in the oil, or on the ground it's burning off into the atmosphere. This should not only be deamed a manufacturing defect overall, but a contribution to poluting the environment. It is a cover up based on the facts, because if it was on the ground and happening as much as it does get burned off GM could be held responsible for such actions. They can not afford to fix the issues overall in design and manufacturability, but expect you as the customer to.
