Re: Twenty years!!
I build at most about 1-4 kits a year, going step by step... I've never aimed for speed... just the enjoyment of the hobby and my OCD

I mostly play with 1:1 nowadays. Can't really do small scale detail work after the accident, unfortunately.

Re: Twenty years!!
I am pretty much the exact opposite. We had two Mazda NB MX-5s (Mk II) that we spent quite a bit of effort customising and modifying. My wife also tracked these quite a bit. Then along came two kids..... We sold one but managed to justify keeping the other. My wife is now looking at a sensible family car for a project; a GC Impreza WRX Sportswagon!

It is good to see more familiar "old timers" chiming in. I still build quite a bit; much of it for FSM and the new Auto Modeler magazine so unfortunately I can't share those here. |

Actually, my son is now 6 and half and is starting to get interested in my models. I have built up a selection of the Aoshima 1/32 scale snap-kits with the excuse that he can start with them. Of course, with a bit of detaliing they would be quite nice models in their own right. |
